Total War Tactics WWII

During World War II, Japan's main strategy for warfare was total war. Japan's military was willing to do what ever means necessary to win the war, if that meant sending kamikaze airplanes to our U.S. navy ships, starting biological warfare, or creating their own weapons that could put U.S. citizen lives at risk.

Kamikaze planes were used to attack Pearl Harbor. It was a tactic developed by the Japanese that if a pilot ran out of ammo, he would sacrifice himself by crashing into a U.S. battleship.

U.S. also estimated they saved over one million lives for American citizens because of what Japanese where planning on and willing to do. Not only did they capture many islands after their attack at Pearl Harbor, but they were willing on starting biological warfare with the weapons they were building.

U.S. troops land on Guadalcanal, in the Solomon Islands group. They used amphibious crafts to drive up onto the beaches.
